A DIAMOND man was on Tuesday remanded to prison when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts charged with gun and ammunition possession.
Carl Carter, 32, appeared before City Magistrate Judy Latchman and pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that on October 8, 2016 at Main Street he had in his possession one .38 revolver and four matching rounds, while he was not the holder of a firearm license.
Police prosecutor Shawn Gonzales objected to bail on the grounds that no special reasons were stated to the court. Gonzalves also added that Carter has pending matters of similar nature and while he was on bail for these matters he recommitted the offence. Carter was remanded to prison and will return to court November 3.
