Four persons are in police custody following the murder of 13 – year – old Devanand Sanichar, who was chopped and beaten on Sunday night by a group of villagers in Beteverwagting, East Coast Demerara.

According to reports reaching the Guyana Chronicle, the incident occurred at Plantain Walk, Beterverwagting. Reports indicate that the teen and the group of men were at a wedding house when an argument ensued.

This newspaper understands that the group called the teen out from the wedding house when he was attacked.
