A TUESDAY afternoon accident at the corner of Lance Gibbs and New Garden Streets resulted in one person being seriously injured.

Operators of minibus BTT9953 attempted to remove the vehicle’s number plate when they were stopped by traffic ranks at the scene

Reports are that the driver of Route 40 minibus, registered as BTT9953, breached the stop sign at the corner and collided with motorcar, PRR 7495.

The driver of the minibus, who was said to be speeding, was heading north along New Garden Street while the driver of the car was travelling west along Lance Gibbs Street when the two vehicles collided. The bus was off its designated route at the time.
