‘GOODBYE Union Jack…Hello Golden Arrowhead’ was the headline for GTT independence full-page advertisement that appeared in the Kaieteur newspaper dated Thursday, May 26,2016.From an independent stand point and being a private tourism advocate, I will say that it was the most disgusting advertisement that I laid eyes on for Guyana’s 50th Golden Jubilee.

How in God’s name can we attract potential visitors from the United Kingdom with such a message boldly advertised? Who in GTT authorised such an advertisement to appear in the press? To the British High Commission and all British nationals currently in Guyana, I do not endorse or support GTT with this advertisement for Guyana’s 50th Golden Jubilee (Independence.)
