Raffik is new President of Corentyne Chamber

MOHAMED Raffik, Chief Executive Officer of Raffik & Sons Construction at Williamsburg, Corentyne, has been elected new President of the Central Corentyne Chamber of Commerce (CCCC) for the period 2016-2017.Raffik was elected during the recent Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the CCCC.
Imran Hamid of Imran & Son & Daughters of Rose Hall Town was elected Vice President, and Poonai Bhigroog of Poonai’s Pharmacy and Animal Health Care at Rose Hall Town was elected Secretary.
Harry Dass Ghaness, Branch Manager of Republic Bank Rose Hall Branch, was elected Treasurer; Tajpaul Adjodhea, Branch Manager of Hand in Hand Insurance, Berbice, was elected Assistant Treasurer; Krishnanand Raghunandan, an anthropologist, was elected Assistant Secretary; and Surendra Ganesh, Chief Executive Officer of Nand Persaud Group (NPG) Packing, was elected Public Relations Officer.
Council members are: Deonarain Balram of D. Balram Shane & Son at Rose Hall Town; Anand Matadeen of Matadeen Trading, Belvedere; Bibi Azeez of Bibi’s Travels, Rose Hall Town; and Mohindra Persaud, General Manager of Nand Persaud & Co. Limited, No. 36 Village, Corentyne. A representative each from Demerara Bank Limted and the Guyana Bank of Trade and Industry were also present.
The CCCC was founded on November 24, 2004.
