Central Shotokan Karate-do Association students graded

THE Central Shotokan Karate-do Association last Saturday successfully held its examinations under the watchful eyes of Shuseki Shihan Frank Woon-A-Tai and instructor Eric Hing at the Georgetown Cricket Club pavilion.The 27 students who sat examinations were graded from the 10th kyu (white belt) to the 3rd kyu (1st brown belt). The white belts who graded for their yellow belts (10th kyu-8th kyu) were: Abhinav Boodhoo, Jeremiah Low, Latalya Norton, Talesh Sukhram, Tristen Sukhram, and Mia Ritchie (who skipped from white to orange-7th kyu).
White with yellow stripe to orange (9th kyu–7th kyu) were: Keron Prescod, Sagara Dindyal and Zane Baldeo.
Yellow belts who graded and for orange (7th kyu-6th kyu) were: Akwone Caesar Che Talbot, Daniel Cameron, Reilon Smith and Savitha Singh.
Orange to green belts (7th kyu–6th kyu) were: Aniyah Couchman, Ayden Doris, Dwayne Tim, Kyle Couchman, Mordecai Rutherford and Shane Sargeant.
Green to blue belts (6th kyu-5th kyu) were: Darius Rodney and Sadiah Bradford.
Blue to purple belts (5th kyu-4th kyu) were: Cayla Richards and Ruel Norton. Purple to brown belt (4th kyu-3rd kyu): Mekhai Ritchie, and brown belts moving up a level (3rd kyu–2nd kyu): Daniel HIng and Jayz Halley.
During the course of the new week Master Woon-A-Tai will be conducting instructor’s seminars at the Guyana Karate College and the YMCA dojos for all instructors who are IKD (International Karate Daigaku) members.
