WITH the aim to produce rounded young cricketers, the Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC) will commence a cricket coaching programme tomorrow for aspiring cricketers at its Thomas Lands facility.The programme targets players at the youth level, and will be supervised by former Guyana first-class batsman Mark Harper.
Harper in an invited comment said his main aim is to ensure that each youngster is well equipped with the basics of the game, adding that his objective is to develop capable youth teams at all levels.
The coaching stint, to be sponsored by Global Sea Food Distributors and co-sponsored by Noble House Sea Foods, was officially launched Friday afternoon.
MSC secretary Adrian Smith expressed gratitude to the sponsors, and said the programme is designed to produce rounded individuals.
Chief Executive Officer of Global Seafood Distributors Allison Butters-Grant encouraged the youths gathered to work assiduously towards their goals, and at all times must remain disciplined.
