POPULAR Trinidadian group ‘Oxygen with Nicole (O2N)’ hosted a motivational confab for women yesterday at the Pegasus Hotel as part of this year’s International Women’s Day observations.‘Oxygen with Nicole Guyana’ collaborated with the Sonia Noel Foundation for the Creative Arts and supported the Ministry of Social Cohesion.

In attendance were First Lady Sandra Granger; Minister of Social Cohesion, Amna Ally; Minister of Social Protection, Volda Lawrence; distinguished guests and special invitees.

The Women’s Day celebrations featured the motivational sharing of Sonia Noel, Meleesa Payne, Setra Oselmo, Sabanto Tokoroho and Roshini Boodhoo. The event focused on steps to help achieve gender parity more quickly; whether to help women and girls achieve their ambitions; call for gender-balanced leadership; respect and value differences; development of more inclusive and flexible cultures; and root out workplace biases.

International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated annually on March 8, and is observed worldwide.
