Columnist and political activist, Freddie Kissoon who had feces thrown in his face in 2010, has been contacted by the police after affiliates of the People’s Progressive Party (PPP) Shawn Hinds, Jason Abdulla and Okene Fraser reportedly confessed to committing the act.

Kissoon confirmed to the Guyana Chronicle today that he was contacted by the police pertaining to the incident as he was questioned whether he had given a statement to the police before.
On May 24, 2010, Kissoon had just emerged from Nigel’s Supermarket on Robb Street, Georgetown around 19:00 hours and had already entered his vehicle when a man walked up to him and threw the fecal substance in his face.
Meanwhile, police sources revealed that PPP member and former Information Liaison to the then Office of the President, Kwame McCoy has been identified as planning the attack on Kissoon.

Kissoon is a known harsh critic of the PPP, especially while they were in Office. Hinds, who is a self-confessed death squad member, had provided security services to a number of PPP personalities.
Abdulla also worked at the Office of the President and is attached to the PPP’s Freedom House Headquarters on Robb Street. They are all in police custody for the assassination of Courtney Crum-Ewing, who was shot dead on the evening of March 10, 2015 at Diamond, East Bank Demerara.
At the time of his death, he was urging residents to vote against the PPP/C at the May 11th elections.
