THE GUYANA Oil Company’s (Guyoil) “Bling my Ride” promotion is in full swing and heading to service stations all across Guyana. According to a release issued on Tuesday, approximately 52 persons won prizes when the State-owned fuel company held drawing ceremonies at four distribution outlets.
“Customers who purchased more than $5,000 worth of fuel from any Guyoil Service Station were entitled to fill out a coupon for prizes that include one flat screen television, one tablet computer, one beach umbrella and a complete vehicle makeover,” the release stated.
Thus far, 40 persons have won beach umbrellas, but the top prize winners from the Palmyra Service Station draw, which was held in February, were identified as Ronel Hinchey of Nurney Village, Corentyne, Berbice, T. Persaud of Black Bush Polder and Ameer Azees of No 64 Village, Corentyne.
Hinchey won a tablet, while Persaud won a flat screen television and Azees a car makeover.
Victoria Service Station, on February 5, saw Prem Rampersaud winning a tablet, Shiek Omar winning the television set, and Tulchan Persaud having his vehicle completely made over.
Kitty’s “Bling my ride” draw saw Arlon McKenzie of 118 Sideline Dam, East Coast Demerara, winning a tablet; Dexter Anderson of Aubrey Barker Road, South Ruimveldt, winning a flat screen television; and Ogle’s Desmond Chan winning the car makeover.
Chitradevi Seemangal, a Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara resident, won the tablet at the Sheriff Street draw held on February 12, while Suresh Singh of Enterprise, East Coast Demerara, won the flat screen television and Byron Gordon of Liliendaal will have his vehicle completely made over.
The “Bling my ride” promotion commenced in December, 2015 with the aim of solidifying the company’s strong relations with the public. Retail Sales Manager Jacqueline James expressed gratitude at the positive reception the initiative has been receiving. She told customers “That their support and contributions to this agency is a direct benefit to all citizens.” James urged persons to remain significant contributors to the growth and development of the locally owned company.
Fifty-two prizes are to be won, and four more service stations are to be visited.”Pink Beast” race car driver, Sherima “Speed Queen” Khan and the sexy “Bling my Ride” models are also on board. Not only is the “Speed Queen” Guyoil’s “Bling my Ride” Ambassador, but she is the lone female in the male-dominated racing arena.
Khan commended Guyoil on their promotion and expressed gratitude for the agency enabling her to promote herself. “This is a good opportunity for customers, and for me personally, it’s helping me to fulfil my dreams.”
“Bling my Ride” goes to Providence Service Station today February 16. Diamond Service Station will be visited on February 18, while draws will be held at Anna Regina, Essequibo, on February 20 and Regent Street February 26.
