ALPHA United’s Daniel Wilson, along with Julian Wade (Slingerz FC) and US-based Brandon Beresford, will be heading to the Midwestern U.S state of Minnesota to vie for a spot in the Minnesota United FC.The club currently competes in the USA’s second division North American Soccer League (NASL) but on March 25, 2015, Major League Soccer (MLS) announced it had

selected Minnesota United as an expansion team, to begin play in 2017.This is second time both Wade and Wilson will be given a shot to get into the MLS, following their unsuccessful trials with Sporting Kansas City last November. The 22-year-old Wilson will be joined by his Golden Jaguars teammate and dapper midfield player Beresford who at 23 years old is known for scoring critical goals scored for Guyana during his nine caps. Wade, 25, is Dominica’s top player and like Wilson, failed at getting into the USA’s top flight professional league. The trio’s shot at the MLS is being made possible by Guyanese/Canadian Alex Bunbury. Bunbury made 24 appearances for the MLS outfit Sporting Kansas City (1999-2000) said he will be using his influence and connections “to open doors for Guyanese players so that they can have a chance to play at the highest level in their careers. It’s something that I will be doing continuously”.Minnesota United will be the sixth MLS expansion team to join from the NASL, following Seattle Sounders FC (2009), Portland Timbers (2011), Vancouver Whitecaps (2011), Montreal Impact (2012), and Orlando City SC (2015).
