POLICE are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 43-year-old Abichandlall Jagwant whose body was found among the boulders on the seawall in Georgetown on Wednesday morning.According to family members, the man who was discovered in a nude state, worked as a caretaker for a house in Vryheids Lust, East Coast Demerara (ECD) but is originally from Lusignan, ECD.
The man, according to information received, was last seen by his relatives when he travelled to Lusignan for his mother’s birthday on November 13.
Family members did not see him back since then until yesterday. They also claimed that whenever he goes to Lusignan he would not stay long as he always indicate to them that he has work to do.
The police up to late yesterday were investigating the matter. A post-mortem is expected to be performed on the remains next week Monday.
