Jeffrey Webb to face sentencing next June

FORMER CONCACAF and Cayman Football Association president Jeffrey Webb will know how much jail time, if any, he will face next June.Webb pleaded guilty to racketeering conspiracy, three counts of wire fraud conspiracy and three counts of money-laundering conspiracy in a United States court recently and agreed to forfeit US$6.7 million as part of the plea.
The former FIFA vice-president was one of several football officials arrested in a raid by Swiss police at the offices of FIFA. Indictments alleging an elaborate racketeering and corruption scheme followed shortly.
Webb agreed to be extradited to the United States, where he first pleaded not guilty.
The former FIFA executive member changed that plea not long after that.
He has been on a US$10-million bond, under condition to remain under house arrest at his home in Atlanta. (Sportsmax)
