PAUL Anthony Punch, a Charlestown mason who was recently busted with narcotics in his home, was yesterday remanded to prison by City Magistrate Judy Latchman on a drug trafficking charge. It is alleged that on October 10, the 40-year-old father of three, of Lot 84 Sussex and Adelaide Streets, Charlestown had 120 grammes of cannabis in his possession for the purpose of trafficking. Punch denied the charge. Attorney-at-law Mr. Clyde Forde, representing Punch in an application for reasonable bail, explained that his client was in an apartment building which was raided by the police and narcotics were found.

However, according to police prosecutor Keri Bostwick, the ranks had raided the defendant’s home and were directed to the drug, which was unearthed in a Fernleaf milk tin. And under caution, the defendant had told the officers, “It’s a lil hustle I doin; see wah yuh can do fuh meh”. Punch was remanded, and will make his next court appearance on October 30 for statements.
