Minibus conductors on bail for Stabroek bus park brawl

ROUTE 45 minibus conductors Shawn Jones, 29, of Lot 39 Norton Street and Darren Johnson, 22, of Lot 42 Fourth Street Alberttown were arraigned on Friday before city magistrate Ann McLennan for fighting on September 19 at the Stabroek Market bus park.
After the Administration of Justice Act (AJA) was applied, Johnson pleaded not guilty to unlawfully and maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm on Jones; and Jones, who has been left nursing a stab wound to his left rib, denied that he had assaulted Johnson.

Police Prosecutor Deniro Jones did not object to bail being granted the two accused, and they were each placed on $25,000 bail. They are to return to court on October 16.
