A 40-year-old father of Exmouth village, Essequibo Coast has ended his life by suicide. According to reports, Rakesh Kellawan, and his wife were quarreling last Sunday afternoon at their home when he drank a quantity of gramoxone poison while being agitated.Reports said he was rushed to the Suddie hospital and admitted but he died just after midday on Monday. Reports said the death of Kellawan, a driver, has left his parents, siblings, relatives and villagers in shock and sadness.

Just last week, an officer attached to the CID section at Anna Regina Police Station ended his life by suicide after domestic problems with his wife. The officer drank a quantity of gramoxone poison. He has left his wife and four children to mourn. (Rajendra Prabhulall)
