Vagrant from ‘Frisco’ refused bail on wounding charge

STEPHAN Lover, a vagrant, appeared Wednesday before City Magistrate Fabayo Azore, accused of wounding a man.He was refused bail after he told the magistrate that he lives in San Francisco. He, however, denied that on April 7, at Brickdam and Alexander Streets, he unlawfully wounded Christopher Darim.

Police Prosecutor Simone Payne did not reveal the facts to the court, but asked that if bail is granted to the vagrant, it should be in a substantial amount.

But asked by the magistrate for his address, Lover gave her a conflicting place of abode. He was therefore remanded to prison until April 13, when he will appear before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.
