THE great herbalist and spiritualist, Dr. Ramayya has done it again. On the eve on International Women’s Day, Ramayya found a novel means of attacking and belittling our women on the ‘Alliance on the Move’ programme on DTV 8. Only the week before, he made disparaging remarks about our women hollering so loudly in the hospitals during child-birth so that people on the road could hear them. He said this to prove that Indian women are ungrateful to Afro-Guyanese nurses, and that they should vote for APNU. Is this not a racist statement?
Then on March 7, 2015, in the same AFC programme, he said that women are ‘love makers’, and that their husbands should give them job letters which should describe their profession as that of a ‘prostitute’! This he said with regards to the Banks requiring job letters from housewives. Is this the morally correct example that a political leader should be setting?
I could recall Nagamootoo telling his grandson to shut his so- and-so mouth; Ramjattan telling people to haul their ass; and Charrandass obscenely sticking out his middle finger. But this ‘bush doctor’ and his boys are now creating havoc, since the people in Berbice have not only rejected him, but have been lambasting them week after week on DTV 8 after the Valentine’s Day wedding.
Then on that same programme, Ramayya admitted that if APNU had gained power in the 2011 Elections, it would have been ‘frightening’ for the Indians. He emphasised that if APNU should ever win by itself, then ‘that is very frightening’. He claimed that by forming a coalition with APNU, the AFC has saved the Indians in this country. This is not only racist, but Ramayya is admitting that APNU is not good for Guyana. He then made it clear by saying, ‘Coolie, look what you gat instead of a PNC Government; you gat a coalition’.
Besides addressing the Indians in a very derogatory manner, Ramayya is admitting that the PNC was never good for this country. So, his reasoning is this: Since the AFC has coalesced with the PNC, the PNC is now good for this country. This man is a great intellectual indeed! What a disgrace!
This man also claimed that the little PYO girls are moving in various areas, urging Indians to remember the ‘rice flour days’ and the ‘white mouth days’, and that this is like selling ‘phonograpgh’. Can you guess what he means? Ramayya is a genius at ‘malapropism’!
Do Ramayya and the other AFC leaders believe that they could lie and deceive the people by using the race card and ad hominem fallacies, and that the people will be so gullible as to continue to accept them? The AFC’s raison d’etre is gone. The AFC is finished in Berbice, and it is now a matter of time.
Keep up the good work, Ramayya! Whom the gods want to destroy, they first make insane! The AFC leaders are being afflicted, and the end is nigh!
