A MOTHER of three was yesterday fine $40,000 by Chief Magistrate, Priya Sewnarine-Beharry for signing a false declaration.
Sealey Munroe, 35, (no address given) pleaded guilty to the charge that said on June 8, 2012 at Central Immigration and Passport Office, Georgetown, with intent to defraud, she signed a written declaration saying that she is Elena Bacchus in order to obtain a passport.
After her confession, Munroe in tears told the Chief Magistrate she only did it to support her three children as a single parent. She further noted she was only going to Barbados to obtain a job to support her children.
