THE dialectic approach adopted by Alan Fenty in reaching a questionable conclusion on the matter of sovereignty has nothing to do with his feigned claim on the merit of deposition adopted by Dr Roger Luncheon in criticising the US Ambassador, Brendt Hardt, for what can only be an audacious assault on the authority of the cabinet of this country. This display of defiance is plainly obnoxious and should be condemned by all proud Guyanese.Selling ourselves short has been the bane of Guyanese and in this particular case of $300M project smacks of the infamous “30 pieces of silver”. Our sovereignty is not for sale, dear Alan: what about undermining of the legitimacy of the PPP government, which history and experience of US interference in the politics of this country during the early 1960s, through the use of funding Opposition parties in circuituous manner, the $300M Hardt project has aroused grave suspicions.
