THIRTY-seven-year-old Ms. Gould Marcellene Amsterdam of Caracas, West Canje, Berbice left her three children at approximately 23:00hrs last Saturday, October 5, telling her daughter Akeesha Daniels that she was going over to the residence of ‘Son Son’ (Errol Lindo) who lives about a hundred metres away from her home, and with whom she shared a relationship, which has produced nine-year-old Javzel Lindo.

However, the pregnant member of the Neighbourhood Community Policing Group (CPG) has since been missing, and her relatives and children are appealing to whoever has taken her away to allow her to contact them.

Gould’s sister Danell Amsterdam explained that Gould’s relationship with ‘Son Son’ had initially seemed good, but became abusive in the latter years, resulting in the two people separating. The sibling recalled an incident in which ‘Son Son’ had allegedly attempted to drown Gould, but was prevented from accomplishing his aim by one Errol Lewis, who was passing by.
Reports are that, on Sunday morning, 13-year-old Akeesha visited a nearby aunt and enquired whether her mother was at that house. After receiving a negative response, she reported that her mother did not sleep at home.
Subsequent telephone calls made to her cell phone found the instrument turned off.
“My sister never goes out without indicating where she was going. She is seven months pregnant and the baby is in breach. As a result, the doctor told her to rest, and that was what she was doing,” Danell said.
“None of her personal items are missing, just the slippers she would wear around the community. She was last seen with a white vest and a pair of black tights,” Danell revealed.
After the woman’s disappearance had been reported to police, they arrested Errol Lindo, and a search behind his home unearthed a sheet and a canvas rope.
“My sister has left without a trace. These things only happen in the movies.  My sister is not an angel, but she was industrious, independent, and needs to be with her children,” Danell said.
