TWO neighbours, charged with assaulting each other over a land dispute, appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore yesterday.
Colleen Lawrence,48, of Lot 237 and Andra Blair, 23, of Lot 190, both of Shell Road, Kitty, Georgetown, pleaded not guilty to having assaulted one another on Sunday, July 28, in Shell Road. Sergeant Ramsahoye Rambaju, prosecuting, said, about 13:30 hrs that day, Blair built up a pavement fence which caused an argument to ensue with Lawrence who claimed ownership of the plot and it was then Blair hit her above her chest and she retaliated.
Both defendants were ordered to post $20,000 bail each until they return to court on August 20.
