JASON Crawford, 18, of Fyrish Dam, appeared before Magistrate Rabindranauth Singh, on Thursday, at the Albion Court, Corentyne, as well, charged with using threatening language.
Particulars of the charge said, on Tuesday, July 4, at Fyrish, he made use of the threat to his neighbour, Lorraine Junior, but the defendant pleaded not guilty and was, initially put on $5,000 bail.
But the magistrate later decided to release Crawford on his own recognisance because the latter had no one to stand his surety.
He is to face trial on Tuesday, August 8.
