Concerns over Cotton Field/Bush Lot Market thefts

THIEVES are targeting motor vehicles parked on Fridays in the Cotton Field/Bush Lot Market Car Park on the Essequibo Coast.

A shopper reported, to the Office of the Regional Democratic Council (RDC) at Anna Regina, that she parked her car there and went shopping and, on her return, was shocked to discover the two rear view mirrors missing.
The matter was raised at the last week’s statutory meeting of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) and several of its members voiced concerns over security for vehicles during the busy Friday Bush Lot Market.
They agreed that the incidents will be fully investigated and the police informed.
Meanwhile, the IMC is working to have the Bush Lot Market in full operation every day, so that it becomes the main centre of vending in the commercial centre of the township.
