A NEW massage parlour opened its doors at Lot 28 Sheriff & First Streets, Campbellville on May 23 last with the firm resolve to delight its clients with excellent and affordable services.
Twenty-seven-year-old Vioneve Angela Amadally, owner of the VIONEVE Therapeutic Center, holds a diploma in Massage Therapy from the Institute of Medical Education in Trinidad and Tobago, and operates under the motto “Giving You a Touch of Class.” She visited the Chronicle a few days ago in an effort to sensitize the public on the services offered at the center, and disclosed that treatment options include aromatherapy, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, manual lymphatic drainage, and gentle stretching techniques.
Therapeutic services are available for neck conditions (whip lash, stiff neck, arthritis in the neck), back pains and back strains (muscle spasms), joint injuries (frozen shoulder, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome), poor circulation in the legs and feet, diabetic neuropathy, sports injuries (shin splints, quads and hamstring strains); and stress management and relaxation therapy is also available.
Since opening her business, Vioneve has travelled extensively back and forth to Trinidad, trying to fully establish the center. As regard pricing, a body massage can range from $3000 to $5000 per session, depending on the client’s condition.
In Trinidad, though, the price for the same massage could be more than $12,000, but Vioneve wanted to provide a service that can reach the pockets of those who really need it. “After studying in Trinidad, I wanted to come home and give back to Guyana. I wanted to have a price so that anyone can come. I didn’t want to go overboard with the prices,” she related.
One of her dreams has always been to own a business, and she is encouraging other youths to similarly go after their goals. “You don’t have to be an employee all the time. It’s good to be the employer too,” she said.
In the coming years, Vioneve is hoping to expand her business and open more centers across the country
