Linden Town Week… : Big, Bold & Beautiful Pageant on tonight at MSC ground : – returns after two-year hiatus

THIS year’s return of the Linden Town Week’s Big, Bold and Beautiful Pageant, again being promoted by the Triple ‘B’ Promotions Group, will see some seven delegates vying for the coveted crown, last worn by Ms Shondel Parks. This year’s seven full-figured women will be using the names of the various hardwoods for which they were sashed. They have all heavily invested themselves into training, being conducted at the Linden Enterprise Network (LEN) Macaw Boardroom on Republic Avenue under the guidance of Ms Norma Allicock, who is preparing them for the grand stage tonight at the Mackenzie Sports Club ground.

They are: Delegate Number One, Ms Latoya Carryll, who has been sashed Miss Mora; Delegate Number Two, Ms Carol Prince, who has been sashed Miss Greenheart; Delegate Number Three, Ms Juan Regis, sashed Miss Moraballi; Delegate Number Four, Ms Neola Reynolds, sashed Miss Crabwood; Delegate Number Five, Ms Michelle Wills, sashed Miss Bulletwood; delegate Number Six, Samantha Williams, sashed Miss Yuraballi; and Delegate Number Seven, Geneva Barrett, sashed Miss Silverballi.

Having already completed the Intelligence segment last Tuesday, these delegates will tonight start by introducing themselves to the audience and the judges. They will appear in the Talent Piece, comprising drama, dance, poetry and song; the Casual Wear, in which they will use a creative piece of local material; then a Sports Wear, before concluding with an Evening Wear.

This year’s Big, Bold and Beautiful Pageant will once again showcase the talent and appeal of the full-figured woman, according to organisers, Misses Camille Cummings and Marlyn Bourne. It is expected that tonight’s activities will treat persons to a memorable night.
