POLICE, during a drug eradication exercise on Monday, destroyed a field of cannabis sativa (marijuana) and an abandoned camp located in the backlands of Onderneeming, on the Essequibo Coast. The operation saw the destruction of a two-acre cultivation with about 2,000 plants, ranging in height from one foot to three feet.
No one was, however, arrested.
