Police charge Buxton youth for murder of Annandale businessman : –two other suspects in custody as investigations continue

PHILLIP Paul, also called ‘Shoe lace’, 19, of 752 Middle Walk, Buxton East Coast Demerara, yesterday appeared before Vigilance Magistrate Zalima Alli charged with the murder of Annandale Businessman Kamal Ramsahoye, also known as ‘Vicky’.

Particulars of the charge state that, on December 9, 2012, at Lot 95-96 Persaud Street, Annandale South, East Coast Demerara, Paul allegedly murdered Ramsahoye.
He was not required to plead to the indictable charge, but was remanded to prison to next appear before the magistrate on January 28.

Police reportedly have two other suspects in custody for the same offence, but they have not been charged yet as investigations continue.

Kamal Ramsahoye was found dead in the lower flat of his two-storey home in the early hours of December 9.    He was discovered by his brother who had gone over to check on him after he had not opened his business place. His lifeless body was found lying with multiple stab wounds in a pool of blood, while his home had been ransacked and his valuables taken.
