MINER Vincent Singh, 40, never made it home to his wife and son after spending some four months in the interior.

His grieving reputed wife, Jennifer Williams, said Vincent was coming home for the Christmas on Tuesday, but died when the boat in which he was travelling collided with another boat on the Pomeroon River, near Siriki.
According to Jennifer, Vincent was in high spirits and was anxious to see her and his son.
Jennifer said Vincent, who arrived at Charity from Supenaam Tuesday afternoon, decided to go home on his uncle Harrinarine’s boat.
