SCOTIABANK staffers, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Claus and a live band of talented employees, took to the streets last Wednesday to spread holiday cheer.
They went to several institutions for children and the elderly, in keeping with the Bank’s ‘Bright Future Programme.’
Scotia employees and their families and friends carolled around the city, stopping to entertain residents of the Nazareth Home, Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre, St. Ann’s Orphanage, Joshua House, St. Vincent De Paul Homestead and Chase Indigent Home.
Each place visited received huge hampers filled with goodies and the children got toys.
Scotia staff from Georgetown and Parika branches have teamed up for several years, volunteering their time to plan and execute this event and spending their money to purchase toys for the children.
The Scotiabank Bright Future Programme is the Bank’s corporate giving initiative which channels funding and employee volunteer hours into the areas of health, culture, sports, education and the environment for the benefit of children.
