TERRY Ramcharran, of Lot 191 Fourth Street, Alexander Village, Georgetown, appeared in court yesterday, charged with break and enter and larceny. Before Chief Magistrate, Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, he pleaded not guilty to the offence, particulars of which said, on November 19, at Lot 89 Middle Road, La Penitence, also in the city, he broke and entered the dwelling house of Sherry Khan and stole a quantity of items valued a total of $294,000.
Police Corporal Seon Blackman, prosecuting, said the virtual complainant secured her home and went to work and, upon returning, she discovered that her house had been burglarized and articles were missing.
The prosecutor had no objection to the grant but requested that bail be substantial and it was set at $125,000 until December 14.
