FOR the eighth successive year, the Office of Prime Minister Samuel Hinds has maintained its relationship with the Kashif and Shanghai Football tournament, with the Prime Minister handing over this year’s first place trophy to the dynamic duo yesterday.
The simple presentation took place at the Wight’s Lane Office of Prime Minister Hinds, who said he was extremely pleased to once again be associated with the Kashif and Shanghai tournament. He also extended his best wishes and support for their inaugural Under-13 tournament which will be played simultaneously.
In his thank-you remarks, Greg ‘Kashif’ Muhammad said he was happy to have Prime Minister Hinds supporting their annual tournament which is in its 23rd year, once again, while he looks forward to his support for the Under-13 tournament which will be played parallel to the most anticipated football tournament in local history.
The K&S Tournament which carries a first place prize of G$4M and has at stake one motor car for the Most Valuable Player, will get under way on December 16 and culminate on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence, where Jamaican dancehall/reggae artiste Mavado is expected to perform.
