KEVIN Rodney, 19, of Lot 6 ‘A’ Waterloo Street, Georgetown was yesterday remanded to prison on a charge of unlawful wounding when he appeared before Georgetown Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton and pleaded not guilty to the offence. Particulars of the charge stated that, on August 23, at Brickdam Police Station, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Neil Adams.
Police Corporal Kerry Bostwick, prosecuting, objected to bail and informed the court that the defendant was being investigated in an alleged robbery-under-arms matter; and it is the prosecution’s view that if bail is granted, the defendant may flee the jurisdiction.
Rodney was refused bail, and the matter will be called again on October 2.
