A TEAM of officers from the Guyana Sugar Corporation (GUYSUCO) is currently recruiting workers from Essequibo Coast to work as cane harvesters on two of its sugar estates on the West Coast of Demerara. The team of officers who met with Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam) Chairman, Parmanand Persaud in his office at Anna Regina on Tuesday morning has conducted interview sessions with scores of Essequibians at the Aurora Primary School and in the Anna Regina and Charity areas.

The sugar company is seeking some 200 workers from the region and will be taking the campaign to the other Administrative regions across the country.
