RAWLE Williams appeared Friday before acting Chief Magistrate, Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates Court, charged with possession of narcotics, wherein he was alleged to have been found with a quarter gramme of cannabis on August 8 at Campbellville, Georgetown. Pleading guilty to the charge, he stated, “Your Worship, I smoke it.”
He was fined $3000 and ordered to perform six months’ community service under the direction of the police at the Prashad Nagar Outpost, starting from Monday, August 13.
Williams was happy for the sentence.
