Guyana Watch 2012 – Guyana Watch conducting 20th annual medical outreach here

THE overseas-based charitable organisation, Guyana Watch Inc., has started its 20th Annual Medical Outreach here and will continue through July 28. A press release said, the team, consisting of medical doctors, dentists, pharmacists and other supporting staff, will also be assisted by a number of local volunteers and, during this year’s programme, they expect to see some 3,500 patients at eight clinics across the country plus children from 12 orphanages.
The release said more than US$500,000 in medication will be provided and medical and health counselling will be conducted at the clinic sites.
“Over the years, the organisation has completed a significant number of heart surgeries overseas for children and has awarded many two and four years scholarships to university students,” the release said.
