THE rape trial of minibus conductor Leon Doris was, unexpectedly, adjourned yesterday due to the sudden illness of a member of the Demerara Assizes jury. Justice Franklyn Holder announced the adjournment to Monday, in the hope that the sick juror would be well enough to resume sitting.
Doris is indicted for having carnal knowledge of a 15-year-old schoolgirl in 2006.
