The ADONI Productions-organised football competition dubbed ‘KEEPING YOUR FIVE ALIVE’ will be revived this year from July 26 to August 3 at two venues, namely at the National Cultural Centre (NCC) tarmac and East Ruimveldt Community Centre (ERCC) ground respectively. According to a press release from the organisers, the event which was first held two years ago with some $250 000 awarded in cash and prizes seeks to harness and develop the energies and talents of youths in a positive way.
The teams are required to continue winning to remain “ALIVE” and over $500 000 in cash and prizes will be given away at this year’s competition which the organisers wish to make an annual event like the Kashif and Shanghai competition.
At the NCC tarmac, games are scheduled for June 26, July 3, 6, 10, 13, 17, 24, 27, 31, and the final on August 3, while at the East Ruimveldt Community Centre, matches are set for June 29 and July 20, with a free admission at both venues.
A number of business enterprises and corporate entities including Courts, Giftland OfficeMax, Hits and Jams TV, A and J Carpet House, White Castle Fish Shop, Universal Janitorial Services, Colors Boutique, Impressions and Banks DIH have all indicated their willingness to support the competition.
