FACING strong criticisms over an apparent budget deal with the government, PNC leaders have sought to assuage Lindeners’ fears that they have “sold-out Linden”, and urged the administration to implement a series of relief measures for the mining town before raising electricity tariffs. Why should Lindeners receive special treatment above and beyond other Guyanese?
David Granger is now getting a taste of political reality; and it must be painful to let the entire nation and the rest of the world know what PNC supporters were enjoying and they are still crying of being marginalised, disenfranchised, and discriminated against by PPP governments.
If PNC Lindeners are this much special, then all other Guyanese must demand they pay for electricity at the same rate as what PNC Lindeners are paying.
PNC and Lindeners couldn’t care less what others have to endure by wearing wrinkled clothes while Lindeners wear neatly pressed clothes on their backs.
PNC and Lindeners couldn’t care less about cold foods others have to eat while Lindeners can heat up their foods in microwaves.
PNC and Lindeners couldn’t care less that others have to handwash clothes and beat them with beaters, while Lindeners wash theirs in washing machines.
PNC and Lindeners couldn’t care less about others who must sleep in dark at nights while Lindeners light up all around their homes to protect their lives and the lives of their families and to protect their properties.
All these things my family and other Guyanese have to endure because of high electricity rates they are charged, but would love to enjoy the free ride PNC Lindeners are receiving.
If this is allowed to continue, and the PNC in parliament have their way with government, then next time around, the PPP/C will be seen as sell-outs to their constituents and more people will remain at home and not bother to vote.
PPP/C constituents will forever see the PNC as parliamentary bullies, the same way PPP/C constituents are being bullied into giving bribes for even going one KM over the speed limit on the streets of Guyana.
Most PNC supporters work in PPP/C government offices where PPP/C supporters are being bullied when there to conduct business.
Go to City Hall, where most are PNC people and see how it’s done there to supporters of PPP/C and the run around they get in conducting business.
When will these injustices stop?
Only an elected government with power and authority can stop these injustices.
Please, do not allow PNC and their supporters to bully you and others, ever again.
Don’t allow PNC supporters to bully you
