… Guyana’s performance overshadowed
FIJI played undefeated in the Cathy Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens Rugby World Series to end as the champions of the Cup Competition while Samoa achieved the same feat to claim the title in the Plate Competition over the three days of action at the Hong Kong National Stadium.

The other matches in Pool F on day two saw Portugal defeat Japan 26-22 and Russia fall to Portugal 10-17.
Portugal comfortably topped Pool F with nine points; Russia were second with seven points; Japan were third with five points while Guyana were last with three points.
