DINESH Ramdeo, (no address given) a bus conductor, appeared before magistrate Alex Moore at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court yesterday, charged with driving an overloaded minibus. It is alleged that Ramdeo, whose minibus has a maximum capacity for 15 commuters, was overloaded when stopped by a traffic policeman.
He pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $10,000, with the alternative of one week imprisonment.
