–observes operations at GNNL
A GROUP of 16 students and three tour guides from the Baramita Primary School at Matthew’s Ridge Sub-Region within Region One, on Thursday toured the Guyana National Newspapers Ltd (GNNL). The group arrived in Georgetown earlier in the week, and toured various places of interest, gathering information to increase their knowledge base whilst assisting themselves in preparation of projects relative to the upcoming CSEC Examinations.
Group leader was Mr. Seon Payne, a senior teacher of the school. Also with them, and instrumental in pulling off the tour, which was sponsored by Consolidated North West Resources Inc., was Advisor to the Baramita Village Council, Mr. Virgil Ferriera, former Administrator of the Central Amerindian Hostel in Georgetown.
At the end of the tour, the students were presented with tokens of appreciation from friendly donor organizations, including Guyanese-born Ms. Juliet Ganpath of Queens, New York.
