A FATHER appeared in court yesterday, charged with unlawfully assaulting his six-month old child. Michael Tim (no address given) pleaded not guilty, before Acting Chief Magistrate  Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, to unlawfully  assaulting Omari Tim, on January 17, to cause him actual bodily harm.
Police Sergeant Lionel Harvey, prosecuting, said Tim took the infant from its mother’s home to his and, when he returned the boy, the aunt who received him observed marks of violence on his body and an investigation led to the arrest and charge of the defendant.
Tim was put on $50,000 bail until January 24.
