A HEAVY equipment operator, employed with B.K. International was Thursday rushed to the Accident and Emergency Unit of the Georgetown Public Hospital in a serious condition, after being injured at the company’s Water Street work-site. Harry Singh 20, of La Bonne Intention, East Coast Demerara, was said to be removing a piece of iron manually, when it fell from his hand and struck him on the right leg. Singh sustained a gaping wound.
His workmates rushed him to the hospital where he received emergency treatment. Yesterday, his condition was being closely monitored by doctors at the institution.
