THE Environmental Community Health Organisation (ECHO) will begin a series of training sessions for coaches/teachers involved with its programme in echo-clubs. The objective is to build capacity among coaches and volunteers, in the areas of environmental education and approaches to communicating environmental and health issues among children and young adults, in local communities. These sessions are vital to raising awareness on very serious environmental and health issues and events within schools and communities.
The first session is scheduled for early February in Region 10. This will be followed by another session in Regions 3 and 4, where the organisation recently, launched it Green Ambassadors Programme.
Echo is grateful for the support of its partners and friends in its advocacy for good environmental stewardship and healthy communities and healthy lives. These include: John Fernandes Ltd, Humphrey’s Bakery, Humphrey’s Jewellery, PAHO/WHO, Cara Lodge and Ali’s Supermarket.
