VISHNU Persaud and Kapildeo Ramsaywack(no addresses given) were remanded to prison yesterday on charges of forgery and conspiracy. The duo appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry accused of having, on December 17, forged a Republic Bank cheque and conspired together and with each other to defraud Mehendra Ramdayal, of Regal Stationery and Computer Centre, with a forged Republic Bank cheque, to obtain a quantity of electronic appliances and stationery valued a total of $3.7M.
The accused will make another Court appearance tomorrow.
