Brian Haywood (no address given) was remanded to prison on December 30 on two counts of robbery under arms. He appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton and was not required to plead to the charges, which stated that on December 27, being armed with a scissors, he robbed Krishandat Singh of one cell phone and cash totalling $45,000.
Also on the said day, being armed with a scissors, he robbed Leon Singh of one cell phone and cash totalling $21,000.
Police Sergeant Gordon Mansfield, prosecuting, objected to bail because of the seriousness and prevalence of the offence.
Haywood was denied bail, and will make another court appearance on January 25.
