TWELVE lucky new year babies received Teddies hampers as part of an annual exercise that has been ongoing for more than a decade now. According to a press statement, seven of the babies received gifts at the Georgetown Public Hospital, two each from the New Amsterdam Hospital and Woodlands Hospital, and one from St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.At the Georgetown Hospital, the first New Year’s baby girl was born to Demme Porter. She gave birth at 01:00 hrs. The first baby boy was born to Kathleen De Jesus at 01:55 hrs. The other mothers who gave birth were Kendra Holder, Felicia Baynes, Latoya Benn, Fazia Walker and Michelle Fredrick.
At the New Amsterdam Hospital, there were two new year babies. The first baby was born to Radica Dayadat. Her baby boy was delivered at 01:45 hrs. The second baby was born to Devica Narine at 08:15 hrs.
There were two new year babies at the Woodlands Hospital. The first baby was born to Advin Bascom. Her baby boy was delivered at 01:23 hrs weighing 3kg 940g. This is her second new year’s baby. She gave birth two years ago to a baby girl and received a Teddies hamper then as well. Seema Ragnauth gave birth at 09:45 hrs. Her husband, a first time father, was excited to receive a hamper from Teddies for his baby.
Additionally, Teddies gave over eight hampers to all mothers present at the Hospitals visited.
“This is an annual exercise for Teddies Diaper and they have been doing this for over ten years. Each hamper included Teddies Diapers, Teddies pillow, Teddies baby bootie and teddies bib,” according to Ms. Anjanie Hackett, Advertising Manager of Marketing and Distribution, a division of Trading and Distribution Inc, a member of the Neal and Massy Group of Companies, which distributes Teddies disposable diapers.
