Cevons problems disrupt city garbage collection

THE Mayor and City Council (M&CC) has disclosed that, as a result of Cevons Waste Management experiencing mechanical problems with its fleet of trucks, the rhythm of garbage collection in certain communities has been disrupted. An M&CC press release said the areas affected include Century Palm Gardens, North Tucville, North Ruimveldt, Water Front Scheme, Part of Guyhoc and Phases Seven and Eight in South Ruimveldt.
Others are Festival City in North Ruimveldt; Penny Lane and Baramita Streets, also in South Ruimveldt, and Meadow Bank, Rahamans Park and Houston.
M&CC has, consequently, deployed its own manpower and machinery to help bring relief to those communities, the release said.
Management of Cevons could not be reached for comment.
