GARFIELD King (no address given) was sentenced to four years imprisonment and fined $30,000 yesterday, on conviction for drug trafficking.
Magistrate Sueanna Lovell imposed the custodial and monetary penalties on him after he admitted that, on December 12, he had 105.5 grammes of cannabis (marijuana) and 8.3 grammes of cocaine in his possession to traffick.
Police Sergeant Neville Jeffers, prosecuting, said ranks, acting on information received, went to the prisoner’s home and conducted a search which yielded the illegal substances on a table where he operates a restaurant.
